Anthea Stathopoulos was the original founder of the Plantae Kingdom Community Nursery and the first person to ever discover Plotties. She was born in December 28th, 1014 to greek parents Agathe and Helladios.
With her parents working in a wheat farm, the girl grew among crops, vegetables and all kinds of flowers and inherited her mom's love for gardening. When she was 10 years old, Anthea starter her own small plant collection and would often go off-road on her way back to school to look for new and interesting plants to add to her garden.
During the Great Depression of the 1930's the farming industry was hit hard by the collapse of wheat prices. Life was hard and spirits were low and that's when Anthea decided she wanted to open a community garden as a sort of morale-booster for people to relax and forget about their troubles for a couple of hours.
In 1939, at age 25, Anthea founded the Plantae Kingdom Community Nursery where she welcomed people of all ages and gave them gardening lessons and shared her gardening tips with everybody.
